On webring
By April 3, 2025
·I have been around the idea of writing, and reading too. And keeping around what I have written and read. These two have some similarities that has taken me some time to understand. I do not want others only to know about what I write but also what I read. And in the same way I want to know what others write and read too.
I figured others have had the same curiosity before. Take openring from Drew DeVault, and linkhut from Matías Larre Borges, both tickle into what I was referring before.
I would like to see a more consistent approach though. As in the openring spirit other blogs started to addopt into theirs, I would like to get to a blog and know which other blogs this person is interested in. Maybe to much social-media-ich but without the control of it. This could maybe be an expansion into atom/rss feeds?
I would like to see a development in this direction and maybe others agree? Maybe I should bring about the change I want to see.
Lets keep the door open.
Also, why the f*ck there is no scheme rss parser?
Have a bright day!
